To rise gently off the ground in a hot air balloon is a wonderful feeling. I have had several hundred balloon rides in many states and countries. The craziest scenes were the times at the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, where the mass ascensions involve several waves of balloon launching at dawn - each with several hundred balloons!
