The north and south islands of New Zealand each have their charm and diversity. The north island includes nautical Auckland, Lake Taipo and wine country, and Wellington. The south island includes Queen Charlotte Sound, the Marlborough wine region, English-accented Christchurch with its own River Avon, spirited Queenstown and the breathtaking Milford Sound. Residents truly project what seems to be their national motto: "no worries!"
