Set in the heart of tranquil valleys, Tuscany's remaining castles and fabled hill towns show little evidence of the stormy history that created them.  The rolling Tuscan hills are punctuated with vineyards that produce excellent wines.   Florence is the capital of the Tuscany region and birthplace of  the Renaissance.  It has been at the epicenter of the art world for centuries, including Michelangelo and Botticelli.
